iGolf GPS Caddie II Reviews, Overview and User Feedback

Rating: 7 / 10

Actual User Feedback:

“I have used the igolf caddie about 10 times and it has been perfect every time and I believe pulled at least two strokes average off each game.

By being able to see the distance to the ‘front’, ‘back’ and ‘center’ of the green I find myself making sure I carry at least to the front of the green.

“The most remarkable thing about it is how easy it is to operate. Basically you just pick it up and look at the screen and all the information is there, updated to your position on the course. One flick of the control button and you are set for the next hole.”

One of the iGolf GPS Caddie reviews on Amazon

“Battery Life is very short.

Stability of yardage is weak. The unit is most stable (and accurate) when you first arrive at your ball. After standing in one spot, the yardage will start to vary after about 5 seconds.

Belt clip is useless.

A protective full unit leather cover as an accessory would be nice.

Portion of iGolf GPS Caddie II user review on Amazon.com

“i did some more testing with the igolf – it is awesome. yesterday on a par 3 i had the unit on my belt clip – i was standing in the center of the green and it showed 1 yard… that’s pretty good. I have been loving this thing. i created a new course in my backyard, and mapped out 30, 50, 60 yard areas to practice my short game.”

Portion of iGolf GPS review on The Sand Trap forum

“Excellent satellite coverage and accuracy. Still wish the screen was brighter but it will do. Went out on a course today and it was dead on the holes I checked.”

Partial user review on golfwrx.com forum of the iGolf GPS Caddy II

Our Research on iGolf GPS Caddie II Suggests:

Overall the average user review gave the iGolf Golf GPS 7.2/10 which means that the unit generally does what it is intended to do: display yardages.

Limitations:

  • Annual fee to access mapped courses (although you can map your own for free)
  • Very basic display, just numbers.
  • AA Batteries not included in box, and don’t last.

Verdict:

The iGolf does it’s job and comes at a very reasonable price ($213 or less on Amazon).

The iGolf GPS Golf Caddie II may be for you if: you can tolerate yardage display starting to vary after you’ve stood over your ball for more than 5 seconds, you carry an extra set of AA batteries at all times, you want a very basic GPS at a reasonable price…
