Sonocaddie V300 Reviews, Feedback & Overview

Rating:8 / 10

Actual Customer Feedback:

“I especially like knowing the distances to the green even if you are far off the fairway.  Yes, it is refreshing not to have a $50 annual fee as in SkyCaddie or a $25 fee for Golflogix. I decided it was much more important to see the relative layout of the entire hole, especially for courses not previously played, so I chose the V300 versus other brands. I could not be more pleased.”

“I used it yesterday, and it was great. Showed all the distances. I used the ‘mark’ feature and still have over half the charge. Never lost signal once. Big thumbs up!”
Portion of Sonocaddie V300 Golf GPS user review on Golfwrx.com

“The GPS is relatively small and easy to carry. The screen is very bright and easy to read even in direct sunlight. This GPS is fairly intuitive once you know what each button is for.

I have tried various GPSes and laser rangefinders and the newe GPS’s such as SonoCaddie and uPro seem to combine the best features of GPS and laser systems.

Our Research on Sonocaddie V300 Golf GPS Suggests:

There were 10 reviews found online for the Sonocaddie portable GPS receiver (V300) and they were overwhelmingly positive.

Limitations:

  1. Software, which is mandatory for GPS units, is not available for MAC computers.
  2. Not a “big name” brand like Bushnell, Nikon, Callaway or Garmin.

Some Sonocaddie V300 owners where especially delighted that the when they compared ongoing fees for Sonocaddie vs Skycaddie, they found the one-time or free course subscriptions for the Sonocaddie to be very refreshing.

“My friends who own SkyCaddie SG4, Skycaddie SG2 and Bushnell Pinseeker rangefinder really liked the SonoCaddie.”

Verdict:

The Sonocaddie V300 GPS unit has delighted the majority of golfers. A solid purchase if you are looking for a full featured (including color screen, and score keeping) golf GPS unit. You will find it a bit larger than units that have less features, but still smaller than most rangefinders.
