Consumer Report
bushnell pinseeker 1500 tournament Bushnell PinSeeker 1500 Slope Review Bushnell’s Pinseeker 1500 Slope Edition is a premium laser rangefinder that takes range reading from 5 to 1,500 yards, providing an accuracy of + or – one yard. The Pinseeker 1500 features a powerful 7x magnification monocular for viewing your target.

Slope+/- Measures slope, +/- 1 degree of angle, and compensated range, based upon ball flight trajectory and type of club being hit. All calculations are shown on the LCD display.

The PinSeeker features four selective targeting modes, to allow you to easily target the flag rather than the objects behind it.

BullsEye – Measures the yardage to the object directly in the cross hairs

Scan – continuously updated yardage readings while you scan the rangefinder.

PinSeeker – Allows easy targeting of the flag while avoiding the possibility of capturing background targets. When more that one object is targeted the closer will be read.

Brush – Ignores foreground objects like leaves or bushes or tree branches.

Waterproof, with Rainguard coating, which prevents lens fogging in bad weather.

Bushnell PinSeeker® Slope Reviews, Overview and User Feedback

Rating:8.5 / 10

Actual Customer Feedback:

I have only used it a few times and like it, especially the slope feature (I’m not a tournament player), but I must point out that it took me a while to learn to steady it enough to get good readings.

“Surprised my husband with the Pinseeker 1500 for Christmas, we “BOTH” love it!! It is soooo “user friendly” and best of all “visually” user friendly! GREAT for the visually impaired over age “40″ group who depend on the “Walgreen’s” reading glasses! No need for glasses or lenghty instruction books-just aim at the flag and click the button-shows two distances. The actual distance and the distance it should play because of the slope!.

The Pinseeker 1500 is a true golfer’s edge. Easy and quick to use, it gives golfers the distance measurements they need from wherever they happen to be on the course. The correction for elevation can make a big difference, especially on unfamiliar courses.

“the Slope edition is a better choice if you don’t play tournaments…it gives you yardage, plus elevation and adjusted yardage. Would be good for a beginner to get the idea of how much a difference downhill or uphill shots are affected.”

Our Research on Bushnell PinSeeker® 1500 Slope Edition Suggests:

According to the general consensus of the online golfing community, this rangefinder is a great tool for practice or a beginner, but for anyone wanting to us a rangefinder in tournament play or for building a handicap, it is not a wise choice (Bushnell’s 1600 Tournament is the same without the slope, so it is legal for tournament  and handicap play).

Of the 55 reviews on Amazon, 45 golfers gave the product 5 stars, and 8 others 4 out of 5 stars.

Not legal for tournament or handicap purposes, to be used for practice and casual rounds only.

Verdict:

The Bushnell PinSeeker is a very high quality rangefinder for golf. Make sure that you realize that any scores that you shoot with this rangefinder cannot be used for handicap purposes, and it will not be allowed in any tournament play.
